Pure Politics

Pure politics not so pure
As parties spin their ads allure

Who cares who did this or that
In years long gone
What are his actions now
What is he for

Candidates what are your stands
On issues ethical and moral?
That is what I want to know
What have you said and done

In the last two years let us say
But then there are the campaigns
Who drown out the voices clear
Stuff I just don't want to hear!

Let "pure politics" have its day
I've decided for whom I'm going to vote
On issuses ethical and moral
It is a clear cut choice

Pro life, pro marriage as we know it
Pro prayer in the public sector
Pro support for faith based initiatives
Pro America, the UN must take a back seat
