The Cup Overflows

There are times, even in the midst of hardship or trial

When the joy of the Lord overflows the cup

Spontaneous  praise arises like a foaming drink

And runs down the sides of the cup of life

God's mercy and grace are steadfast and sure

His love perfected in us so holy and pure

His forgiveness so deep in the recesses of our soul

Adoration and adulation come from a joyfilled heart

Adoration and adulation come from a joyfilled heart

The Cup Overflows (c)2010  Quentin Clingerman
