Mourning and Mourning After

Mourning becomes Electra
If jaded passions are aroused
Tears must flow for all the lost
But reaction must be seasoned with
Magnanmity
Forgiving the enemy, though nameless
Holding accountable but not hated

Otherwise, mourning becomes Electra
Mourning becomes Electra

Mourning and Mourning After (c) 2001 Quentin Clingerman
