Ground Zero, Story of the Year

As one looks back at 2001
It seems from the start a rather bad one
With the economy slowing down
Uncertainty about the new Whitehouse

All that seemed to take on less meaning
When Ground Zero they've been screening
A nation who appeared to have forgotten God
Began to act like He still lives on this sod

With faith and fortitude this nation
Let the world know of its unflagging dedication
To freedom and selfsacrifice
When mortally threatened by devious device

Ground Zero became the rallying cry
Around a president who stood against a grim sky
To let the world know for love of freedom
Against Evil we would beat a constant drum

All oppressors must beware
2002 the same message this nation continues to share
Until that Evil is totally defeated
This nation will persist so as not to be repeated

A Ground Zero must not be repeated!
