Candles Brightly Lit

It is that time of year

One of most pleasant good cheer

Festive mood is in the air

Shoppers about everywhere

Homes begin there evening display

As Christmas music from CDs replay

With Christmas cards to be sent

Expressing the joy of the season their intent

A glow of warmth  and peace pervades

In the hearts of homes where Christ invades

The trees alight with the love of God

Candles brightly lit give Him the nod
