Altoona, PA

Altoona, Pennsylvania
Settled on the foothills of Appalachian mountains
Old European flavor
Downtown dominated by the large doomed Catholic cathedral

Imposing white Altoona Hospital atop a hill
Taking care of the extensive surrounding community
Downhome courtesy everywhere
Visitors surely feel welcome here

Route 99, a four lane highway, moves fast through the scenic mountains
From Bedford, Pennsylvania close to the Pennsylvania Turnpike;
Three major highways lead into the city
17th Avenue takes you downtown

Everywhere friendly, helpful people
Maybe it is in the mountain air
Or from the mountain springs
Friendliness is everywhere

In Altoona, Pennsylvania
