Breathe, Breathe, Oh My Soul

Breathe, Breathe, Oh My Soul

Breathe, breathe, oh my soul

Of wasted hours, days, months, and years

Striving for uncertain goals

Unquenched in all the striving

Teaches humility

Breathe, breathe, oh my soul

Strangled struggling in search of lasting peace

From within the narrow shelf of self

The lungs nearly exploding

Instructs integrity

Breathe, breathe, oh my soul

Sorrowful longing, looking for the greater whole

Seeking the Spirit of the great I Am that I Am

Tasting of the Bread and Wine

My soul is infinitely satisfied

My soul is satisfied

Breathe, Breathe, Oh My Soul (c)2007  Quentin Clingerman
