When Words Work Wonders

When Jesus speaks,
His words work wonders
When we speak in His name
Knowing it is in His will
His words work wonders

Have you tested His promises lately?
Have you seen His grace at work?
Have you sought His face in secret
Listening to His Word?
Jesus speaks so you can hear.

In the rhythms of nature
Jesus speaks His will
Either in blessing or in warning
For all to heed
This word is sure

In the affairs of men
His word is at work
Soverign of the Universe
The follies of men are bent
To that sovereign word

In the deep recesses of the soul
Conscience is quickened by His Word
Conviction of His righteous love
Of our own sinfulness and spiritual death
When we confess Him, we are made "new"

This the greatest work of His Word
Oh, that all men everywhere knew
