Mr. Gullible

Just call me Mr. Gullible
I seem always ready to be taken for a ride
Just call me Mr. Gullible
As the cons take it out of my hide

Sad stories touch my heart
They seem so tragically true
I put myself into their part
I mix up I and you

So if you have one shoe
Sell it to me I know just what to do
Or a glove without a match
Onto it I will surely latch

Parts for machines that no longer exist
I'll buy them, I insist
If your story is poignant enough
Selling me is not at all tough

Just call me Mr. Gullible
I've just money to be burned
Just call me Mr. Gullible
A name I've surely earned
