What My Picture Said

What My Picture Said

As I lay suffering
A pin inside my wrist
Six long weeks instead of three
The cast would bump and rub it
Bringing tears with a strong need to scream
The picture upon my wall beckoned me
Keep quiet and follow Lord Jesus
He’s lifting Peter from stormy sea
The picture you adore will help you
The fisher of souls said follow Him
My appearance made me feel unworthy
What I’ve suffered is nothing compared to Him
My self-pity tears should be unwept
Lord Jesus’ tortuous death is my Easter gift
Eternal life in Heaven lifting you as Peter did
I AM ALIVE!  I AM ALIVE! what the picture said
The Great High Priest gave the highest sacrifice
There’s nothing mere mortals can do to impress Him
Just follow Christ Jesus as Peter did
My Easter suddenly seemed perfect
When Lord Jesus became my Easter gift
Life with Lord Jesus holds many wonders
Miracles yet to see if I should guess
The volume of importance increased while being led
Look it’s me there in life’s sea water being fed
Safe with Jesus is what my picture said
