Life's Blood
© By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

What good is the soul without Life's blood

Lazily eclipsed the soul stretches
Upon Life's blood covered trellis
Magnified is the powerful blood
Joy stretches with darkened soul
Until urgency takes hold

Tendrils of grace elapse
At the perfect given time
What good is the soul without Life's blood
Eager to please the soul bears seeds

Mercifully Christ's Life blood stretches
Upon the Son-lit trellis
As the soul jumps with joy
Into His outstretched loving arms

Grateful for the eternal light
Bathed in Life's blood
Bloomed a morning glory soul
Entwined to the Son-lit trellis
Joyful God's love sublime
The morning glory soul
Stretched the upward climb
