Whistling Cricket
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Boldly the whistling cricket came
Whistling praises drowns the rain
While the soul at the window begins to smile
Praises whistling miles and miles
The downpour didn't affect his mood
The whistling cricket was well in tune
Divine inspiration fills the room
God's praises are heard from everywhere
The whistling cricket does declare
Praise God everyone the little cricket sang
The earth's His footstool let praises ring
God loves to hear your praises sing
The whistling cricket boldly came
Praise God, praise God, night became day
When Christ Jesus came your way
