Grains of Sand
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Forgotten grains of sand
Slip through small clinched hands
Sweet little one's eyes aglow
Playing at the sea shore years before
Carry this little one, carry him far
Bless his path to peaceful shores
Beautiful gifts of time blow as grains of sand
Forgotten wonderful times we spend
Photographs spark memories afar
Bless this little one with distant stars
The Holy Spirit's wind blow near and far
Blessing his soul for a man of God
Let this mother's prayer always be heard
Strong feet standing on the Rock of Your Word
Carry this man, carry him far
Forgotten grains of sand
Blows to God's peaceful shores
