New-fashoined Heart
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

New-fashioned Heart

When I gave
My heart to others
It was returned to sender
Used and very scarred
When I gave
My heart to the Lord
It seemed to grow
Within the confines of my soul
My endless heart took flight
Repaired of damage done
I no longer lead
With my precious heart
I keep this new-fashioned heart
With great diligence
Grown in the care of the Lord
To be filled with
His never ending love
I only trust the Lord
To lead His heart
His paths are perfect, true
He'll fill this heart
With treasures dear
He'll lead His heart
Without a fear
Through the time
Only He has prepared
Though the heart
Will beat no longer
The spirit inside
Will sail on
