Bubba's Adventure

The beagle's adventure began one night

The black lab's touch stirred his flight

Why keep her brother on a cold cruel chain

Soon she'd see the error of her way

Her only desire was for tease and play

But bubba leaves fenced yard runs away

If he keeps on running he'll become a stray

No one knew crazed beagle was on the roam

His chain's appearance fooled he was home

Time arrived for their morning meal

There was no beagle, there was no squeal

Sister black lab alerts bubba's lost appeal

The steward's kind face soon becomes stark

Then hark! There is a beagle's bark

Wedged between neighboring fences back to back

Quick kind steward grab the hugest sack

Sister smiles for her lost bubba's back

The kind steward looks toward heaven with the biggest grin

Thanking God as bubba's adventure ends
