Heaven's Sliver

God's heart is formed by stripes that bleed
An earnest soul will kneel and plead
God looks into the wounded heart
Contemplates the conditions thereof
The stripes of Jesus enter in
A new soul emerges born again
By His sacred stripes hearts are healed
Bounded to His Holy blood and sealed
Heart inside you must be bold
A new creation God has told
Formed by lashes striking deep
A soul born of God, forever He will keep
By sacred stripes to be healed
God's Holy Spirit you must yield
Eternity dances which lights above
Heaven's sliver must be truest love
Remorseful hearts behold the Cross of Jesus
Pleading souls scream His blood is precious drops of love
A sliver from Heaven, as Jesus was cut a soul will cleave
Tiny portion above as the earthly body leaves
Heaven's sliver God's Sacred blood did bleed
Angels exclaim it must be healing love, adoring love
Eternity awaits follow Jesus who lights above
