Precious Rain
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Your soul is being rained on
With precious drops of His blood
Life underwater out of control
Your control is gone
In the thunder you hear God's voice
The windows rattle in your spirit
Sweet surrender to God's choice
Lightning bolts flash your inner self
Self disappears to His thunderous commands
Wash in His rain the stench of self
Cleanse with His downpour the turbulent spirit
Emerge from His bath kissed by dew scented Heaven
Smelling fresh as a newborn babe
Praising God for His glorious downpour of mercy
For today you have been totally remade
Blue skies on the horizon of your newfangled life
