Hush
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

There once was a soul known as turmoil
A lost weather vain swinging aimless in the breeze
Untaught God's direction points toward Heaven
Poor lost turmoil never glances upward through the trees
Wanton feebleminded eyes downcast as if in shame
Downhill soul with only turmoil to blame
Until the breeze is silent and a hush falls on the soul
Turmoil feels so much different than ever before
Jesus gives direction upward if looking for more

Hush, serenity, hush
Lull to the rush of God's Spirit
Moving through His strongest trees
God's Spirit is love captivating souls in His breeze
Hush, serenity, hush
Lull to the gush of God's strength
Strongest soul to overcome with a Heavenly theme
God is the power to turn turmoil into serenity
Lull, serenity, lull with His Spirit in the breeze
Hush
