Could it be?

Could it be?

This summer's heat stretches on

with no relief in sight.

Beating sun, rays that burn,

Hot and sultry nights.

People struggle everywhere

to work 'n sweat 'n toil;

Crops are wilting in the fields

in cracked and hardened soil.

Tempers flair, patience wans

heatwave lingers on;

we try to beat the heat of day

by rising at the dawn.

Global warming...could it be?

God's plan to now unfold?

Our road to self destruction?

It's one of these we're told.

If that's the case, the end is near

however it unfolds;

I want to be God's instrument,

found harvesting lost souls.
