Ideal Love

Ideal love...

never was, nor will it be, it will always be vague,

as changing as the sea. The tides of love run high...

then low...

A real maid of the sea won't melt like snow.

To understand his dreams, his journey of words,

takes wings of love to fly like sea birds.

And his fears that float on the vast dark sea

disappear like the waves on her shores for thee.

Love's illusions shouldn't harden his heart

and doubts shouldn't stop

love

or make it depart.

And as she traveled along her turbulent dark sea,

many drifted away, they weren't meant to be..

Then one day awakened loves radiant light..

so different and blinding... a dream in the night?

To meet in the shadows where visions were told

opened the portals, turned the shadows to gold.

No...nothing is easy and in time we will know

if the light is real or will melt with the snow.
