Let There Be Light!

Let There Be Light!

Black as coal...a stormy night,
Electric's gone....not one light!
Candles burning, disperse the gloom,
Shadows dance around my room.

Silence. Silence, everywhere!
Stillness thickens in the air.
Winds cool breath, heaves 'n sighs,
Raindrops falling from dark skies.

Nothing much that I can do,
Computers dead...T.V., too.
Stereo sets, mute as stone,
I feel so very much alone.

Nighttime hours in darkness spent,
Without a way to play or vent
This energy from boredom borne,
and agitation now begins to form.

Patience not a part of me,
I want my lights! I want to see!
Rain and wind and stormy night,
Deprives me of much needed light.

Can't surf the web....PANIC MODE!
Can't send, receive, can't download.
Computer's down when storms prevail,
Darn it all....can't check my mail!
