Travelling

To 'n fro, to 'n fro...
I've travelled far, yet didn't go
beyond my door or yard or home,
still I'm free to always roam.

The music drifts around the room
and sweeps my soul with a melody broom,
and life goes on beyond glass pane
reflecting life through dusty stain.

Inside my head an image flows,
creates a dream and off it goes.
No limit to this state of being...
endless dreams....endless seeing.

Rhythm seeps through thoughts and dreams...
they're good and bad and fun and schemes
to mold in any form I choose,
sometimes I win....sometimes I lose.

No one to say where I should go,
how long I stay, no one to know
the things created from within...
who I am or where I've been.

No one can know what I conceive
in this world of make believe.
I've travelled far, yet didn't go..
just sat and rocked...to and fro...
