How Do I Love Thee?

How do I love thee? Like the stars of the night
Suspended in the heavens...glowing so bright.
Like the moon dressed in silver...smiling for thee
Knitting our souls....just you and me.
How do I love thee? Like the whipporwill sings
Off in the distance...of the happiest things.
Like the crickets hidden in the darkness of night,
To seranade our senses...pure delight.
How do I love thee? Like a gossimer web
Delicate, fragile...yet strong it is said.
Like fingers of moonbeams, where freedom abounds,
Like the wind blowing gently with only night sounds.
How do I love thee? Like the river that flows.
Polishing the river rocks and on it goes.
Like the soaring of night birds, free in the sky
Our hearts blend in stillness....just you and I.
