Birthday Humor

Birthdays come and birthdays go,
years roll by, candles grow.
The space atop my cake is filling,
sends alarm that is so chilling.
One by one the candles grow,
'til my cake's on fire, a burning glow!
Someone had a wiser thought,
an answer to this problem sought.
Now my candles number two,
no counting does one have to do.
Two numbers sit upon my cake,
I know by looking it's a big mistake.
Three and six they put with glee,
the joke is funny, the jokes on me,
for everyone knows it's...
six and three!
