My Special Room

Walls of white, curtains, wine.
Carpet mauve...these things of mine...
Music, flowers, my "this 'n thats",
Pictures, plants...my two lazy cats.

Windows face a busy street,
Leafy trees shade my quiet retreat.
Rays of sun...no hint of gloom
Can enter in my Special Room.

No T.V. set, no telephone,
A place where I can be alone
To spend my time in one accord
With Jesus...how I love my Lord!

I gather 'round me all I need,
Music, books and His Word to read.

This is where I come to rest,
This is where I grow the best.
This is where I learn to cope,
This is where I find my hope.
This is where I come to pray,
This is where I start my day.
This is where my soul can bloom,
With Jesus...in my Special Room.
