Seasons

God knew what He was doing, when He took my loved one home.
His timing was just right, for me to be alone.

Through seasons of His healing, Through all of my pain,
The sun rose and set, just like a healing rain.

As winter faded and spring slipped in,
He planted a harvest of growing within.
No rain could drown it or wash it away,
He was always with me, through every hard day.

Summer came softly to help dry my tears;
Now Autumn is bursting away all my fears.
As fall settles in with a chill in the air,
My Father reminds me, He'll always be there
to love me and keep me, my Comfort and Source,
He'll be my protector in winter's cold force.

This season of grieving will a circle complete,
And God can set me again on my feet.
Stronger and wiser, burned by the trial,
He carried me through seasons...mile after mile.

And when it is over...one year has gone by,
My heart nearly healed, but still I will cry,
But not tears of sadness, but of joy for I know...
God's always with me....seasons come and they go.
