DISCIPLINE

Temptation comes to everyone, this we should know.
For if we're never tempted, our trust in God would never grow.
And when temptation comes along, we're not to enter in,
Just watch and pray, build your trust today, to keep you safe from sin.

Remember that your flesh is weak, but your Spirit, He is strong,
He's willing, if you'll let Him, to keep you from all wrong.
Satan brings temptation, hoping you will sin,
But, Father God expects us to show some discipline.

And painful as our trial may be...such a grievous test,
His promise is that afterwards, yields a peaceful fruit of righteousness.
But, only if we're trained by it....that is, by discipline,
Then our trust in Father God will keep us from all sin.
