You Can Never Fool God!

You Can Never Fool God!

There’s a way that seems right to men.

 But it leads to death!

You’ll never be able to “outsmart”

God till your last breath!

Many try to twist his truth into corruptible lies.

And try to do “whatever is pleasing,” to their eyes.

God isn’t mocked!  You shall sow what you reap!

Wickedness and sin, can pull your life in “really deep.”

Some people make a mockery of what God has done!

And soon afterwards, their lives come “all undone.”

Some people don’t think much

about their eternity!

And say to themselves;

 “God isn’t for me.”

Pride goes before a fall.

The path to destruction leads many.

But those who’ll live for God…

 Can you find any?

Rather than trying to pretend

we can live without him…

We need to come and totally accept him!

He sent his son Jesus!  Won’t you believe him?

You can be his child! And receive him!

You can have life with Jesus!  His joy can abound!

May his message of salvation be spread all over town!

He knows all of our thoughts and our very heart.

A place in prayer to him, is a good place to start!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
