We Need to Seek God in the New Year

We Need to Seek God In The New Year!

As the new year comes…  Where will I be?

I know the future will bring uncertainty.

There will be many predictions of things untold.

Many will put their investment in stocks  and gold.

There’ll be a lot of wars from days of the past.

I wonder how much longer this world will last.

Politicians will promise to find a solution.

And will promise an earth with no pollution.

The Bible reminds us in the book of Revelation.

It tells us of Christ’ return and a Great Tribulation.

It reminds us that there is trouble in the days ahead.

There’s going to be a lot of blood that’ll be shed.

We need to seek God as this new year is with us.

And seek the presence of Christ to be with us.

Only Jesus and his word will provide stability.

Only Christ can bring true hope and sensibility.

This world is becoming a cruel and evil place to live.

Think about what God offers and what he can give!

He promises life everlasting in heaven above.

This can be the year to be filled with his love!

This year brings an opportunity that is yours and mine.

A chance to accept Lord Jesus…

While there’s still time!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
