God Knows Everything I do!

God Knows Everything I Do!

I’ve had many sins for the way I lived.

Many times, I wanted God to forgive!

My life was filled with much uncertainty.

I suppose I was trying to find a security.

I often wanted God to forgive me…

There’d be another sin that would “trip” me.

I struggled at first, but wasn’t concerned.

I was expecting God’s grace at every turn.

The sins of the past caused much shame.

There was no one else, by me to blame.

I was sowing the consequences of the sin I had sown.

And before I knew it, it crept into my home.

I got on my knees and before Jesus I confessed!

“How could my life turn into such a big mess?”

It was like I felt the presence of God around me.

It was like I felt his hand reach out and touch me.

I heard a voice speak to my life that day.

And listened to what God had to say.

I repented to God, and for the whole day I cried.

I really thought about why Jesus was crucified.

My life is different since Jesus took control.

I have a new peace and hope within my soul.

If Godliness is sown…  A victorious life I’ll receive!

Through Christ, a new way of living can be achieved!

All glory to Jesus for his awesome

and loving power!

He’s changing my life each passing hour!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
