God Knows My Heart!
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 3 times

God Knows My Heart!

Many have often criticized what I say and do.

They often doubted if my walk with Jesus is true.

I’ve tried to do my best, but my faults are many.

Show me someone who hasn’t sinned…

Are there any?

It’s ridiculous the actions and the words often said.

It’s almost some people wish “I were dead.”

Let me assure others that my walk with Jesus is real.

I try my best to serve him with a passion and a zeal.

I’m not the kind of person who may fit into a “mold.”

One day I plan to walk on the streets paved with gold.

I accepted Christ’ salvation and gave

 to him a commitment.

I seek Godly living in my life, with his peace

and contentment.

If others don’t like what they see in me,

pray to my father.

If you can’t love me as Christ does,

why even bother?

I have my sins and shortcoming,

 this I humbly confess.

But I’ve found in Christ, forgiveness,

 love and REST!

If a “Christian” won’t accept me, their

religion is in vain.

They bring an embarrassment to the

mention of Christ’ name.

I pray that God will keep my heart

yielded and broken.

May Christ be honored in what I’ve

 done and spoken.

Heaven is my goal someday.

Will you join me?

If a critical spirit is your goal, please

 don’t annoy me!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
