God's Blessing Can't Be Measured!

How Do I Know That I’m Blessed?God's Blessing Can't Be Measured!

How can I measure that I've been blessed?

Throughout life, I’ve tried to receive the “best!”

I’ve experienced the pleasure of “good things.”

And have received whatever joy they may bring!

But whatever I’ve tried, even if it’s brand new…

They don’t always give the “pleasure”

 they promise to do!

There’s many things, I thought had “blessed” me.

But they end up greatly disappointing me!

Wherever I go…  And the many places I’ve been...

Their “attraction,” always come to an end!

The true blessings in life are not what I’ve achieved.

Or the great many things that I have received!

The real blessings that I have recently discovered…

Is asking for the blood of Jesus,

 to have my life “covered!”

His blood can bring a true cleansing deep within…

And brings me the joys of being BORN AGAIN!

The blessings of God, is what I need to surround me!

For I once was utterly lost!

 But Jesus found me!

Glory to God!  For the eternal blessings he’s given!

He’s totally changed me!

And the way I’m livin’!

I know that I am blessed!  For Christ lives in me!

I’m building up treasures…  For eternity!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
