Think on What Is Wholesome & Good..

Think On What Is Wholesome And Good..

My dad taught me; "garbage in...
garbage out."
As a young man... I realized
what this was all about.

If I put garbage in,
What would I get in return?
A life of sin whatever
direction I turn.

I can't deal with this
garbage much longer!
What kind of life am I living?
I pondered.

I think about many things
these days.
I must read the BIble and live
God's ways!

Godliness in my life is what I need!
I must repent!
Before any more foolishness
in my life is spent.

Jesus... take my "garbage,"
and fill me with your love.
Come and dwell in me with
goodness from above.

Help me to think on things
wholesome and clean.
You are my righteousness--my everything!

In you Oh Lord... every good
thing dwells within.
I want to fall in love with you allover again.

A victorious life of love
is what Jesus gives.
For he is my beloved and I am his!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
