I Need to Trust Jesus MORE!

I Need to Trust Jesus More!

Jesus said I need to seek and daily trust him.

I need to totally surrender and love him!

I need to give more than what I’ve given.

This is a part of being cleansed and forgiven.

I’ll admit…  It’s been half hearted at best!

This has created more anxiety and stress!

The peace he gives hasn’t been around me.

As the problems of life seem to surround me!

Dear Lord, I come before you with a confession.

I want YOU to be my love and dear possession.

I ask you to come and wrap me in your arms of love.

And refresh my life with your power from above!

I will do my best to seek your will and direction.

As I focus on your word for a Godly correction!

The beauty of your majesty and holiness is real!

Before your presence, I come, and humbly kneel!

I invite you to be the Lord of everything in me!

And ask for your Holy Spirit to come and fill me!

Thank you, dear Jesus, for listening to my prayer.

Thanks for being a true friend.  And for being there!

Please touch my lips with your purifying fire!

That living for you will be my daily desire!

Thank you Lord, for doing this and more!

YOU make life worth living for!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
