Our Veterans Are Being Abused!

Our Veterans Are Being Abused!

We have millions of veterans who faithfully served.

Many are getting something

 they never deserved.

Those who’ve faithfully made

a commitment to the U.S…

Are now coping with a lot of

after duty stress.

Many of them ask themselves; “where did I go wrong?”

Are living in a country where

they feel they don’t belong.

Many of them are being tossed around and discarded.

It was decades ago is when much of this started

The government set up it’s own kind of institution.

They decided to call it; “The Veteran’s Administration.”

However, this administration has inflated many costs.

They have no idea of how many

 lives have been lost.

Many veterans with problems, don’t know how to cope.

Too many end in suicide, after they lost

all sense of hope.

We need to encourage our government

to focus it’s attention.

They need to get moving into the RIGHT direction.

We need to give our veterans a heart of appreciation.

Let’s offer them true hope and sincere dedication.

Let’s reach out to offer them hope and peace of mind.

Let’s be there for them, when they need help next time!

Our veterans have been our defense and foundation.

Without them, we’ve lost

a big part of this nation!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
