Do You Often Get Upset?

Do You Often Get Upset?

Are you one who tends to

be easily upset?

Things that happened, and you won’t forget?

Do sometimes words that are often said,

Cause you to wish someone

would “drop dead?”

You say that you love everyone the same,

But in your heart, anger

continues to reign.

You think you’re walking in

The right” path,

Yet you allow the sun to go

down on your wrath.

There’s a dwelling on a person’s past,

holding hard feelings that’ll last.

If you cannot forgive…

You won’t be forgiven,

If heaven is your choice to be doing your livin’.

Each day you must drop all anger  aside,

allowing Jesus to remove all

bitterness and pride.

May a sacrifice of love be

what to Jesus you bring,

as you focus on God’s word…

l Corinthians Chapter 13…

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
