Jesus, Help Me to Not Forget

Jesus, Help Me to Not Forget about You!

Jesus, help me to not forget about you!

For all you’ve done…  How I love you!

I want to be thankful and give you praise.

May I bring honor to you, all of my days!

You’re glorious, and your love never fails!

Over the trials of life, your love prevails!

May I read your word, and take time to pray.

And be your example in what I do and say!

You’ve done so much for me already.

If you came today…  I want to be ready!

May I not do the things that cause me to stumble.

But be content.   And not complain or grumble.

You’re my God...  With a love that’s real!

You’re the same God of David and Israel!

Thank you precious Jesus!  For all you’ve done!

All glory and honor to God’s precious son!

Because of your grace, the past is behind me!

Your mercy and salvation do remind me.

Everything you’ve given...  I‘m blessed to know.

The savior and redeemer of my eternal soul.

Help me Lord, to be humble, and exalt you!

For all you’ve done…  I just want to thank you!

You’re the God who’s faithfulness will never end!

Thank you Jesus, for being my best friend!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
