We Need to Praise God! Not Curse H

Let’s Praise God Instead of Cursing Him!

There’s someone I know.  I won’t mention his name.

There’s things in life that he chooses God to blame.

When he thinks about God, he begins to curse him.

There’s many people in life that have really hurt him.

He can name people from church and other places.

He can tell you of the times and the many faces.

He asks about how God can let evil continue.

He’s good about bashing God in different venues.

He’s read scripture, but answers in four letter words.

He can come up with something pretty absurd.

It’s amazing how many reasons he chooses not to believe.

I don’t really know what, in life, he expects to achieve?

Instead of trying to make a list of God’s rights and wrongs…

It’s the truth of God’s word, that in his life belongs!

We need to focus our attention on God’s eternal love.

And don’t look to this evil world, but to heaven above.

People can blame and curse the God who created them.

There’s coming a time when they’ll need God to help them.

There’s coming a day when we’ll all stand before him.

And a time coming when every knee shall bow before him!

Let’s come together and give praise to God together!

And serve him with all of our heart…  Today and forever!

God is very much alive!  And he wants us to know it!

Jesus’ death and resurrection is a great way to show it!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
