What Have I Done for Christ this Pa
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 2 times

What Have I Done for Christ This Past Year?

During this past year I think of

 what I wanted to  “achieve…”

And think about the things

  that I’ve received…

I think about the trials and mountains

 that have arisen…

It’s almost like looking through “a glass prism.”

The times we’ve had together

As a family normally would.

There are things I wanted to accomplish,

that I knew I could!

But there’s one thing most important

 that is a reminder…

What’s done for God is what I call

 the “ultimate decider…”

The treasures that I lay in heaven will be

 more precious than gold.

And will be a blessing to future

generations untold.

There are blessings from God  that  I’ve gained…

  I have very little room

to really complain…

As this next year is before us

and is about to appear…

I know the coming of my Lord draws ever so near…

May I make plans to live with my beautiful Lord.

In heaven… May I seek to have my treasures stored…

Only in Christ … Will I find true

joy and contentment…

May I let go of any unforgiveness or resentment…

Thank you my Lord  for everything

 that you’ve given!

You’ve blessed us and are the

 reason I’m  livin’!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
