From a Mother's Heart

From a Mother's Heart

My children are not little anymore,
though sometimes, I still see them as before
when walking through the door into the past,
so blessed with certain memories, to last.

Their season now, of woman and of man,
has led them through another door and plan-
but I'm so glad that still they call on me;
just how I hoped and wished that it would be...

and yes, I feel that God has willed that so;
of lessons learned and taught, we each would grow
with guidance from his watchful eye above...
reflecting always Christ's eternal love.

Now that my children aren't 'children' anymore, it's a daily blessing
getting to know them as the people they have become, but in my heart,
they're still the little children God blessed me with.
