Pilgrimage

I've put my pilgrimage within his hands
while on the path to near and distant lands.
My raiment is His Light, as meant to be
for all those set upon this path to see.
I pray for guidance others too, may learn
to change their hardened hearts to ones that yearn
to know the Lord in daily mindful stride-
to know the love of our Eternal Guide.
Within my walk, a sword to me is lent;
His Word fulfills, as it is Heaven-sent,
for victory is mine - He's made it clear;
He's with us always...always He is near.
I'm thankful with each earthly day that's done
to have the love and guidance of the Son;
while on the path to near and distant lands,
my pilgrimage I know, is in His hands...

(Also inspired by the book, 'The Pilgrim's Progress' by John Bunyan.)
