On A Country Road
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By Lucia Kiersch Haase
Other Poems by Lucia Kiersch Haase

On a country road, there's a snowy field

where the wind blows cold, but the sun does yield

to the sparkling drifts setting all aglow-

I can see for miles all the drifting snow.

It's at scenes like this, that I stop to stare;

in my heart I know there is reason there,

for the snow will seethe and the earth will thaw-

it's the hand of God and it's nature's law...

and this could be a nudge...or it could be me

that beyond the cold, there's such beauty to see,

but I think there's more to this than this place...

on a country road...His amazing grace.
