The Greatest Gift

The Greatest Gift

The shelves within the stores are lined
with gifts galore of every kind;
the droves of people wait to buy
with expectations riding high.
A bustling now has taken wing
to get these 'things' that make one 'sing'...

but give me peace of falling snow
and words to praise the One I know-
in quietness of gentle ear-
in humbleness of presence near,
enveloped in, as meant to be-
the greatest gift - His love for me!
