All Praise to Him

All Praise To Him

(a Welsh CYWYDD DEUAIR FYRION using homonyms)

A precious hymn-
'all praise to Him',
stays in my mind-
the words, heart-mined.

Through sun and rain,"
it's He who reigns;
I'm as the deer-
the message dear.

I'm Satan's prey;
I know - I pray
for God to knead
this soul in need.

He lifts the weight;
on Him, I wait,
for He's the One-
in Him, I've won.

I pray and write,
for it is right!
I sing the hymn-
'all praise to Him!'

(CYWYDD DEUAIR FYRION  is a Welsh form.  (pronounced cuh'-with day' -air fruh' -yon).  It
consists with any number of couplets with 4 syllable lines in true or off rhyme.  I wrote this
this particular one in dimeter, and used a homonym for each couplet.)
