Welcoming of Spring

Welcoming of Spring

Just peeking through a snow-white lacy shawl,
the purple crocuses bare heads to call
out to the world, "Hello!  It's time for Spring! -
with utmost joy, we have a song to sing!"

Just peeking through, the leaves of tulips, too,
come forth in new found shades of green, anew
proclaiming into air, "Now watch and see,
what colors of the palette we shall be!"

Just peeking through, all hints of dafodills
now welcome rising sun beyond the hills,
as buds of hyacinths in yearning voice
call out, "It's almost here!  Rejoice!  Rejoice! ...

and so much more the coming blooms will sing,
"All praise to our Creator for the Spring!"
