The What and Why of Life

The What and Why of Life

If I love and I live for the Lord first,
All my family will be blessed.
When before children His Word is rehearsed,
Teachings for life may not be missed.

Don’t want a balanced life, but alignment
Of my life with God’s perfect Word.
Be sure of His will is my assignment-
That, in family, this be heard.

May the Cross speak the passion of my heart
Whether someone gives back or not.
Let retribution never be a part
Of my life – not tittle or jot!

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
