Created to Image God

Only humans can choose to image Him.

Humans can choose to praise our Lord.

We can choose that even when life is grim,

Reflect Him – Holy Spirit poured.

We can also choose unresponsiveness.

We can just push ourselves along,

Keep trying to make our own righteousness.

But we’ll soon find we don’t belong.

Christ paid the price and we can be restored.

His righteousness covers our sin –

Imaging Christ – all His Grace can afford.

There we’ll be like Him, our own Kin.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
