Lost in the Temple

People come to the Temple,
But what do they hear?
Speeches of motivation -
The Word has just disappeared.

Are these just “pretend” preachers
Talking to great throngs?
People come to be “pumped up”
With “you can do it” and songs?

People call themselves Christian
Since they go to church.
We need to find our Bibles,
Find the Book of John - research!

Let us all get serious,
Practice the Bible,
All of us who love the Lord -
Our eternal survival.

Let’s not let God’s Word be lost,
Leave on dusty shelf.
Memorize John 3:16,
Pray about it for yourself.

God so loves us ev’ry one,
Gave His Son to die.
All you need to do is ask,
“Forgive my sin -help me try
To honor YOU  all my life.”

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
