Look at the Love of Christ

Look at the Love of Christ

Does suffering always make me tender?
Do I just try to get through on my own?
Christ's loving fellowship always renders
God's hand in my life and His Grace well known.

We are all undeserving sinners.
The thief, Christ's last companion on this earth,
His first in Heaven - both of them winners!
This was God's plan from before the world's birth.

It is by faith, not works, that Jesus saves.
The thief could do nothing - he was dying.
It is through God's mercy that Jesus saves.
Christ's gift is complete - no contest vying.

Jesus has joy in redeeming sinners.
He is looking to bring them in - Amen!
Indescribable joy - We're winners!
Ready for Heaven - saved from Satan's bin.

We need to look and look and look at the love of Christ.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
