All His Things
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

All His Things

He’s gone and he’s not coming back

Until he comes with Christ.

His cheerful joking we will lack,

‘bout nothing worth a garage sale heist.

Finding his things in the garage

Almost a daily chore.

It’s there – or was it a mirage?

Looking long , I abhore.

I dread sorting through all those things.

I’ll just procrastinate.

Maybe someday it might take wings,

Fly to Bob’s back yard gate.

Just imagine Bill’s collection

After fifty-four years.

Just the thought of his expression

Is enough to bring tears.

He has said “Someone my need it”

So he always kept things.

If you need a bolt or socket,

Come – get it without means.

Always a giving, helping man,

He did it cheerfully.

He said, “I’ll help you if I can”

Complete – gratis – no fee.

Thus his love was demonstrated.

God’s love lived in his heart.

Although it was understated.

He always did his part.

The Holy Spirit used this man,

Showing His love to all.

First, of course, came family clan,

That God’s Grace they’d recall.
